robert is almost done with recording two new songs, the first recordings of the 7 string sound.
This is a lean affair with drums, 7 string and vocals and still manages to get a big sound.
The songs are "one more person with a gun" inspired by the events of Tucson 2011 and "it must be possible" a powerful anthem of change.

2002 marks the introduction of Robert's new CD "If He Could Only Reach Her", on his Broken Pretzel music label. Robert says: "I want to move people the way great music has moved me.

Robert has been the leader of two active Bay Area bands: Unruly World, who was part of the "world beat" scene from 1985-1987; and Robert Temple and Serious Noyz, a rock-pop-sould outfit that performed from 1996-1999. He has signed a number of publishing deals and won awards in national song contests, including the Billboard Song Contest in 1991 and 1995, and the John Lennon Songwriting Contest in 1998. He has played all over the Bay Area including a 3-month weekly stint at the Black Repertory Theater in Berkeley.

Robert Temple's deep connection to music began while listening to recordings of his mother's folk singing in the basement of his New Jersey home. Listening to rock and roll, R&B, and later funk and rhythmic international dance music; working and living with people of diverse cultures in Chicago, Detroit and Cleveland; and driving a taxicab in the streets of San Francisco, all helped form the basis for his s
