Deborah Trabolsi - BIO
A true veteran to this business, Deborah started composing and playing professionally at the age of 13 while growing up in Baltimore, Md. She then played in bands in Va. while attending college for her B.A. in Music (voice major, piano minor). After playing in bands in Philly, Deborah moved to NY to attend N.Y.U. for her Master's Degree in Music Therapy and started a band called "Prisoners of Beat" which toured Canada, the East Coast & the Midwest. Deborah has opened dates for U2, Iggy Pop, Modern English, Billy Idol, Gang of Four & the list goes on & on. She performed in all the NY City clubs including The Ritz, The Merry Go Round, Irving Plaza, The Pier & more. She opened for R.E.M. at The Living Room in Providence R.I. We can't leave out The Spectrum in Montreal. Although her band was not signed to F.B.I. they were instrumental in booking many of their dates.
Deborah began playing the bass guitar with Ray Labella in "Sidetrax" which performed at The Turning Point in Piermont, NY and played in clubs in NYC & surrounding areas. "Sidetrax" just released their album entitled "The Simple Life", recorded & produced by Lenny Post at Hockory St. Studio in Blauvelt, NY. The CD was showcased on WHUD 100.7 FM radio.
While performing with Sidetrax, Deborah met the very talented guitarist, Frank Severino. Frank has played professionally since the age of 15 and has performed and recorded his own material along with performing as a session musician with Lenny and several well known artists in the NY - Tri-City area. He began with a love for classical guitar and flamenco. After studying the "classics" he began to explore his love for "the blues". He carried over those fundamental techniques into a mix of blues, classic and southern rock to create a beautiful, "fat" guitar sound which has been compared to Clapton.
Frank and Deborah began writing and recording songs for specific TV/Film destinations. They have been a successful songwriting team and in only 6 months they have received awards along with many of their songs charting in the top 10 multiple genres on Broadjam and musicgorilla.com. Their song "Trouble" was a semi-finalist for DSA Contest in 2007 and both "Trouble" and "Engraved" received special mention on The Music Aid Awards in 2007. Some songs scored runner up in Nov. and Dec. VH1 songwriter contest for songoftheyear.
Deborah and Frank collaborated with singer/songwriter Lucas Vieira to write & record "Johnny Delgado" which was chosen to be published & placed on a nationally released CD compilation through Spacedog & Top Cow Productions. The comic novel & CD soundtrack "Johnny Delgado is Dead" , written by John Leekly, Michael Olmos and Roger Minchoff, (The Covenant, Spawn, Splinter) are being showcased at NY and San Diego Comic Conventions. "Johnny Delgado" was also just chosen for placement on the "Ska 4 Life" Compilation CD through Quickstar Productions.
They continued writing with Ray Labella & while recording their "Delta blues" they met Nick (Nico) Roche, a multi-talented musician from Berlin, MA. at Lenny's studio. The 4 singer/songwriters joined forces with the dynamic drummer, Peter Severino, who had played with several indie-signed bands in the Northeast to form the band "LEAD PIPE CINCH! Their CD was released in May, 2008.
Lead Pipe Cinch is currently the #1 pop/punk band on indiecharts.com. Their songs are also in rotation on Banana Peel Radio in Canada and will be showcased on 99.7, www.wjfn997.com stationed out of Long Island, on 6/8/08 & 6/22/08 from 9-10PM. Songs are also played on Underworldmixradio.com, Celbrate Radio and Christianinet.com. Their website is myspace.com/leadpipecinch.
