I've been playing in bands for many years. I'm concentrating now on songwriting and recording in my home studio. Current performances are based on using midi(Digital Performer), live guitar and vocals. My music ranges from Rock, Country and Computer based recording with synthesizers, live guitar, vocals, and samples.

I have been devoting a lot of time to teaching guitar. Along with building a home studio that serves me well for lessons and recording endeavors, I'm developing a fairly comprehensive guitar teaching website at bobporri.com. Several years ago I also started playing Pedal Steel Guitar. I'm playing with a Rock band call Thunderegg based in NYC and Hartford. Composing and recording music is always ongoing and keeps my busy.
