Roger has been writing songs for many years honing his skills in recording over the past 10. He's been playing guitar since age 10 without taking lessons and picking up momentum in his songwriting through the years. Both Dicki Fliser (Skin) and Preston Niles (The Knack) gave him positive feedback on his songwriting skills. Roger began submitting to contests in '99 where on his first submission to the John Lennon Songwriting Contest he received an Honorable Mention - the top 50 out of over 3000 in the rock category. Not bad for a start along with three Nashville Paramount Directors Awards from 2001-2004 for rock, country and holiday tunes.
