After a few moves his family ended up in the state of Washington where he began playing the guitar. His first musical success was at his 6th grade talent show where he insisted upon playing the entire song "Hotel California" to the chagrin of a few teachers. He didn't care though because he won.... so there. After he graduated from school and found a woman willing to put up with his sense of humor he began work on his 5 children and now leads the youth choir at his church. His music is a mix of Folk, Rock, Christian, Jazz, Blues, Country, etc...... Don't bother ever asking him who his favorite artist is. He'll probably just look at you with a blank stare and say....Randy Van W. Smith. As an extremely cheap musician, most of his recording is done in his studio while his wife sleeps. She thinks it's a bedroom...Ha!
