Hello Ken, is that you singing all those songs? I would love to work with you..... my email is "email@example.com" Thanks Marvin
awesome i will send you the two versions of pixie dust i am working on. I write and glenn williams sings and develops melodies for me. I had David norris out of nashville record devils domain his work has been nominated for 5 grammys and he was the director of musical development for midway games for a long time.
I am looking for a more modern feel with or with out Glenns voice although. Glenn is my friend and i will continue to have a developmental relationship with him. I have been put on notice by multiple evaluators that my songs are "dated' well i am 60 and glenn is 65 what the heck they want? my intention is to develop a lot of different stuff and glenn is my go to ballad guy, I have a lot of material written some of it is metal/rock some is reggae etc.. Glenn will never be able to give that to me although he works by the hour and he is really generous to me time wise. I believe Holy Water was 300.00.
anyway i will email you the work in development i am looking to either really go a different way then where i am at now or accent it to the point of a respectable thing to record the chorus is not inspiring me the way it should.
I appreciate your response lets make some music!!!
be well kvp
Hey Ken, so we both won't be confused.... You write, but don't sing. Your friend does the singing....... Then sometimes you hire a world class singer to sing.. let me know if I got that right. For me.....I don't sing for beans but I do write. but my main thing is building song beds to be top lined.... I can give you tracks that will play well in any era.... Pop country, Americana etc. You had mentioned Trixie Fender. She usually does her own lyric... what were you thinking?, so I can run it by her.......You can write to any of my tracks... there are over 700 on BJ. Some are already Top Lined but many are available.... Just let me know if you hear something you like.. I'll send it to you.......all the collaborators I work with split ownership of the song... most of the time its 50/50 sometimes 1/3rd..... nothing out of pocket and we all promote I usually have 2 to 3 dozen submittals going all the time....My email is "skyhighmusic firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks
I really would not know how to write to a track? My roommate has a metal band and he told me the same thing. I just started taking lessons from glenn in december of last year so i am brand new to music these are my first creations out of the gate i bought a computer to run pro tools but i do not know how very well yet and a keyboard, but bottom line i got no skills there.
I have an open mind, and think i write quality lyrics. perhaps we could walk through how to write to a track and or maybe you or trixie will have a concept when you hear the music a different potential.
whatever agreements that need to be constructed to negate or minimize my out of pocket expense are fine by me. I own everything you heard 100% but i am injured, been out of work since the pandemic began. I am really an Industrial wireman (42 years in the IBEW.) that has always had a desire to write and during the pandemic i started. Then coming out of the pandemic i got hurt real bad. and decided i would produce the nana's song and the devils domain. so whatever we could do together is just going to allow me to produce more stuff i like but nobody listens to.... Hopefully i am just getting started. Man their is a lot of talent out there for sure. What is toplining? I have no social media skills but have a shitload of marketing concepts all pretty unique stuff, probably willing to invest some capital to supplement my lack of social credentials. Glenn does have 1,000 followers I think, but he doesn't have the desire to promote my stuff he is busy dealing with his own batch of issues. he has health concerns and is just getting back into the groove, pixie dust is the first thing we have done since may...
anyway, i am tired been at the doctors all darn day myself we will pick this up tomorrow if you like what you hear on pixie dust??
Hello and thanks so much for the stars on Letter To The Lord, much appreciated!
Warren Well deserved awesome song.
You are local to vegas i wonder have you ever heard of the las vegas songwriters Association?
Well I'm in San Jose, CA, never heard of that organization...do they let anyone in?
Thanks for thinking of me!
Yes they do. Nashville Songwriters association is a must do. i get a lot of mileage there i have only been writing since December, once a week they beat the living tar out of me structurally and melodically pretty awesome really.
