We are an established all-original pop rock duo from Philadelphia whose major influences include Fleetwood Mac, X, and The Darling Buds. We've been compared to Buckingham/Nicks, Til Tuesday, The Pretenders and The Sundays.

Our songs, "Rooftops", "Rain Dance","Beautiful Illusion" and "Deep" have been featured on Broadjam's Top 10 Rock-Pop, Dreampop and Pennsylvania categories. We are deeply grateful for the gift of music, and for the opportunity to share it with others.

Karma Chain Bio

Huntington Beach, California - late 1980 - the hypnotic sound of the waves crashing on the shore, the warm sun beating down on the soft, beautiful sand, the long, rambling pier jutting out into the deep, blue Pacific Ocean, Catalina Island calling in the distance - this is where it all began for the rock duo Karma Chain, both musically and romantically. If you could step back in time and gaze into the early musical souls of Chuck Schubert and Jamie Keys, you'd hear the beautiful melodies and raunchy guitar riffs of rock masters Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, and California's own punk/folk band X. Reminiscent of Buckingham Nicks, Karma Chain weaves exquisite songwriting, tasteful guitar work, and haunting vocals into an enchantingly unique sound.

Karma Chain has performed in Denver and Connecticut, been featured numerous times on the radio, had their music included on an international television program, won songwriting contests, and been included on compilations of the best original musicians in Denver. Their songs, "Rooftops," "Rain Dance," "Beautiful Illusion," and "Deep" have been featured in Broadjam's Top 10 listings. In addition, they were hired to write and perform a song for a radio commercial for a nail polish company.

Their studio work has spanned over two decades including work on seven of their original tracks with both producer Duane Scott who has worked with artists such as Heart, ELO and Dan Fogelberg and who engineered Walter Egan's "Fundamental Roll" album where he received co-production credits along with Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham, and session/tour drummer extraordinaire Rick Shlosser, who has worked with everyone (and we do mean everyone!) from Rod Stewart to Kenny Rogers.

Karma Chain is currently working on, "Beautiful Illusion" - a collection of original pop/alternative/rock songs about spirituality, love, family, war, death, and the challenges of being an artist in a world that is not always open to creativity and self-expression. If you'd like to be notified when the CD is available, please leave an e-mail.

"Bridges aren't meant to be broken; The soul holds the truths unspoken; The heart holds the key, pry it open; Don't let the hurt from the past be your token..."
Beautiful Illusion

"I want to reach into your very soul, I want to lay you down and make you whole, I want to know your thoughts as you know mine, I want to love you 'til the end of time"
Spirit Bound

"Walking in the rain; feeling out of time; but that's life, anyway; all you really need is now..."
Walking in the Rain

"As you hold forever in your mighty hands, will you take me with you to your promised land? I love you so completely, would I even dare... to shout it from the rooftops, scream it everywhere..."
