Cloaked Characters was established in 2000 by Joseph Tavares (a.k.a. Chlorine/Jay Tablet) and Rory Restani (a.k.a. Rory Oneders). Their music has been described as poetic hip-hop with deep, philosophical lyrics and is backed by producer Mr. E's unique and energetic beats. With influences to include Tupac, for his passionate poetry, Swollen Members, for their character and energy, and Pink Floyd, for their musicianship and psychedelic sound, Cloaked Characters has quickly made a name for themselves in Central Oregon, and is recognized by The Source Weekly as being a regular part of the local hip-hop scene. More live performances are on the rise as Cloaked Characters is known by promoters to always bring a solid energetic presence to shows. Also have worked closely with Person People, The Cool Table, Beathoven, Benzo, Radio ,Reed Thomas Lawrence and countless other hip-hop and rock & roll artists.
