The Drain hail from Madison, WI. We deliver hard driving and mind-bending post-punk rock music drawing on influences ranging from Joy Division and The Cure to Sonic Youth and Pixies. For this recording we went for a muscular guitar sound with lots of melodic bass lines pounding drums and emotional vocals. Rising from the ashes of art-rock bands including Faghat and The Facesteak, this is our first full-length effort and is a few years in the making. We recorded it at DNA Studios in Madison, WI under the direction of production guru extraordinaire, Mark Whitcomb. Thanks for listening.
