' In The Zone '
This album was concieved and recorded in london,england in 94' and was released there and europe in june of 95'.It has just been released in the USA. There's ten tracks have different feels, ' Wah-Wah Man' has an acid jazz feel ' montuno' has a latin feel called ' montuno'.Wicked thoughts" a reggae feel ,'Sometimes' and 'Between The Spaces' are the smooth layed back 'Wes Montgomery ' felt octaves over a mellow smooth track. All the others songs 'In The Zone','From LA. to London', 'The Groove',Burn't Offerings',' Sanctified' are the up temple ,funky tracks.Accompanying me are my friends and great musicians from the UK. The nucleus was myself on vocals,lead and rhythm guitar, my best friend and drummer 'Graham Cuttill ,Graham was also on backing vocals , my friend Neil Pyzer who played sax, flute, programmer, producer, & engineer,Dave Stevens on keyboards/ backing vocals & programming. The rest of the supporting cast Nixon Rosembert on bass,Roberto Pla & Tammy Payne percussions,Paul Higgs piano & trumpet,Boysey Buttrum alto sax on 'Sanctified'.We debuted this album at London's famous 'Jazz Cafe' sponsred by JAZZ FM - radio.I wrote five of the tracks and ' The Groove' was originally written by 'Rodney Franklin'.I hope that you'll enjoy my cd musically,Emmett North Jr.
