Feed The Kitty (Los Angeles) developed a reputation for killer live shows and extended loose musical jams. It was this reputation that caught the ear of heavyweight producer Baraka, whose recording credits include bands such as Live, Weezer and Sting. For the past year, FTK and Baraka have been working on their much-anticipated full-length album to be released in early 2008. As far as guest performances, the band's debut record features the work of virtuoso cellist, Tina Guo, on 'Ghost'. Also the funky fiddle master himself, Casey Driessen, sits in on 'Ducks Crossing' and 'Free'. "All Around Me" has been featured in the latest Ryan Gosling picture, entitled "Lars and the Real Girl". Wonderful film. In February, Sunset Pictures will release the hilarious new National Lampoons movie,"Cattle Call", which features the song "Guilty Situation" by Feed The Kitty. The album is a diverse musical offering that has something for everyone, but in general is a funky rockfest that showcases Maher's guitar playing and wonderful vocals.
