This is ground-breaking album from 1972 that helped to define the outside-loner-acid-stoner-folk-rock genre that was developing in San Francisco and Laurel Canyon in LA. On this album, Chet Nichols wrote the songs, sang the vocals and played all the instruments, except on the title track, "Time Loop", where he was honored to have HOF musicians Nicky Hopkins play piano (Rolling Stones), Pete Sears on bass (Jefferson Starship), Dave Garabaldi play drums (Tower Of Power) and Chet Nichols played guitar. He teamed up with HOF-er Stephen Barncard who worked with Chet as his recordist, co-producer and Executive producer. Nick Gravenities stepped in as Executive Producer on the title track, "Time Loop". Stephen Barncard went on to work with Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and producer for David Crosby and many others. Stephen joked that, "Chet was my guinea pig, as we tried to re-define the recording processes of an acoustic guitar, and, man, it worked". CSNY heard the tape of Chet's album and hired Stephen to record them. Stephen Stills even wanted to buy Chet's guitar, which didn't happen. This album just surfaced on the DISCogs Top 100 Albums at #57 for the year 1972.
