Story Behind The Song

This song was originally entitled "Stuck In A Moment", and was about how sometimes you get down, and it feels like you will never recover. As recording began for what became "Passion and Pain", we were confident it was going to be one of the best songs on the CD. But just as we were about to record vocals, U2 came out with their single "Stuck In A Moment (You Can't Get Out Of)". U2's song had the same title and basically the same storyline. So we tossed the lyrics out, and preceded to sit on the song for months. We just couldn't think of a premise for the song. Finally, our producer Alan D'Entremont and I finally came up with a story. We would write lyrics that told the story of a guy, whose band makes the big time, and he leaves his sweetheart at home for Hollywood. He gets there only to discover that the one he left behind, was the only thing that he really wanted. - James Hardy, Vocals; Crimson Rain

In fact, the song peaked at #80 out of 40,000 songs! The track is a sure fire hit with it's radio friendly sound, pop/rock stylings, and catchy hooks.
