Very cool tune. The bright and attack piano really cuts through and is nicely juxtaposed to the clean guitar. The contrast to the mellow laid-back bass creates a cool vibe. When the drums come in at ~1:40 it all goes to a new place... cohesive. Nicely done.
Very nice writing. Good development of the various sections and arrangement. I like the way the guitar is used in the melody sections with the horns.
An engaging standard type small combo(?)jazz number for sure. Melodic and harmonic intrigue enough to engage the discriminating listener. Thoughtful construction. Clearly a hip and knowledgeable ear sitting behind this. I can only wish it was longer ....... :) Good Stuff!!
I need another cocktail.... make it a double..... nice
Well this just sounds like a professional jazz band in a swanky Hollywood lounge. Really cool! I know it takes a high level of musicianship to appreciate the complexities of jazz, and not sure I am up to that level. This definitely has a vibe of its own, I loved it when the percussion comes in. I wasn't really expecting it and it just sounded awesome. Excellent work!
I like it. Well put together. Nice jazzy feel. This is not Pop music. The piano and guitar in the track are absolutely Jazz and it works well. This is the kind of music you hear at a nice restaurant from a live band. Pour up a couple of drinks and enjoy this one. I like where the composers went with this one.
Quirky tune, but interesting. It's a weird tune but it seems to work somehow.
Very nice from both a compositional and performing standpoint. I really like the tune, very much 1960's Miles or Bill Evans. Solid.
Well played. It was real Jazz, finally. Other songs I've listened to have not been close. Nice changes. Personally, I might have had a tighter drum track that came in earlier but that's just a matter of taste. At the end of the day I really liked this song.
Awesome ... I am truly blown away... I can see this song and many more from you going somewhere
