This is an autobiographical song- lyrics are by award-winning 2016 Indie Artist of the Year, DeDe Wedekind from her Album of the Year: Dream of You. It's quite a unique song about the frustrations of being young, wild and searching for love. Being restless, and chasing love, but not really knowing what real love is, how to find it, or how to hold on to it, and finally asking for a little help from above...
Song Description
DeDe wanted to create a song with an 80's rock feel similar to Bon Jovi or Journey, two of her favorite groups growing up. The result is this unique song about the frustrations of being young and wild and searching for love. Being restless, and chasing love, but never holding on to it and going a long ways down out of control in a downward spiral. Never really being able to recognize real love or how to find it, and not being able to hold on to it. But finally meeting your "angel", then asking for, and getting a little help from "above"...
