Nice vocalist; the tone reminds me a bit of Jacob Dylan in the Wallflowers. Good feel in the rhythm section. Good ending, too.
Should be on the radio now.
love the vocal tone and texture. interesting song lyrics are also interesting, very contemporary sounding piece. would like to hear more from this artist.
I would so like to give this song a. higher score, it is very pleasant, and the voice is smooth and with what I could hear of the lyrics, which was not enough, enjoyable, but the drum beat was repetitive - though Jazz has room for wonderfully creative percussion. I can imagine that the lyrics may be clever and witty and that. together with the beat, it may be an amusing, tongue in cheek song, I hope it is.
I love the tone of the singer and the rough delivery, and the arrangement in general supports him very well. I also like the instrumentation led by piano but including creative use of keyboards and guitar. It's also panned very well in the mix creating a nice balance of sound.
nice mix in instrumentation
This is a fine tune. Well recorded, nice use of dynamics. Vocal is up front and fits the style and feel of the song. Was hooked from the 1st guitar progression.
Quite unique, nice to hear something a bit different. Can't decide whether it's jazz or rock! Like the voice too. Nice to hear some accomplished arranging and variation that gives this tune some stand out qualities after a lot of what I've just reviewed.
very enjoyable piece. good balance production
I really enjoyed the song, for the most part. Asides from being miss-categorized. I saw this more of a show tune than anything, especially with your chorus/hook. Really, really catchy. A total feel good number. Really beautiful all around.
I enjoyed the track. I thought vocals & instruments complemented each other.
Love the raspy vocals on this track! This could be the opening or ending song to a weekly TV show! It just has that feel! Great vocals and arrangement! Overall good production!
The singer has a very singular voice. Cuts through the instrumentation while still fitting right in the pocket. I'm very impressed by this recording. Has a polished feel while still being very organic. I thought the harmonies in the chorus could have been a little louder. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the dynamic range of this number. So often today songs fall victim to the loudness war. This song rises and falls with incredible ease. The piano solo knocked my socks off. As a fellow pianist, bravo.
phenomenal indie/pop track plugged into the wrong category. extremely inventive, original sound, infectious and oh so pleasing to the ear from beginning to end. arrangement, choice of instruments and how they play off each other creates a great adventure for the ear.
I love the feel of this song...reminds me a lot of Steve Winwood or Bruce Hornsby. Great job on the song.
Listening to this song, I keep hearing different styles and influences coming through. Song starts a bit folky, then the jazz element comes through with the keyboard and sax. There is a bluesy element from the piano in the bridge. The vocal style is very current indie-sounding. It's the way the various styles have been gelled together that has been done so well. Great instrumentation and recording.
I loved the flow of this song.
