Story Behind The Song
We wanted to write a song about colors.
One verse does actually mention color names.
But the next verse, we wanted to make it interesting, so we took the color names and used them in a metaphorical context, and in a playful way.

Leaving the marooned ship
Trying to keep from feeling red-faced
And embarrassed pink
I peeled the orange very slowly

Realizing how green I was about this

I sought the purple passion
And felt strong jealousy
