Story Behind The Song
We wanted to write a song about colors.
One verse does actually mention color names.
But the next verse, we wanted to make it interesting, so we took the color names and used them in a metaphorical context, and in a playful way.

Lyrics
Melting Crayons
===============
Leaving the marooned ship
Trying to keep from feeling red-faced
And embarrassed pink
I peeled the orange very slowly
With a sense of yellow courage
Realizing how green I was about this
I struggled to hold back envy
I recall how blue I felt
Within the indigo glow
But with violet pride
I sought the purple passion
And felt strong jealousy
In the heat of the bright light
I felt my surface tan
And, over time, brown to a crisp
