This is a beautiful ballad about a homeless woman named Suzy. The writer paints a very believable, real picture with the lyrics that helps the listener to identify, see and sympathize with the main character. I love the way the writer describes the environment she finds herself in (cardboard box) and the drug problem (rainbow dreams?). The chorus is very clever and memorable. "You'll blind your pretty eyes lookin' at the sun" - love it. Sounds like a 12 string guitar to me. Nice guitar playing.
Beautiful sad song ...vocals are tops....instrumentation suits the song well....harmonies well placed...really liked this song....
A great, comfortable song... like you are sitting there hearing a story told (and told well!) Smooth instrumentation and perfectly harmonized vocals, with almost a nostalgic sound to it the is reminiscent of some incredible years in music. Great song here.
Thoughtful song that tells an interesting story with evocative imagery. We can imagine Suzy and therefore we can feel for her to some degree. Can't help remembering Donovan's 'Young Girl Blues' (English singer from 60's). Musically, it has interesting moments.
Great tune - great vocals, great lyrics. Clear you have but in the time. I'm a fan.
nice spry guitar/bass entry, vocal and harmony work for this one. lyrics not bad, you DO have a good hook/title (if i got it right....LOL)--damn hard to find sometimes in reviewing!
Very pretty song, very nice voices. Why the advice about blinding pretty eyes by looking at the sun? Is it a metaphor for leaving home and seeking fame and glory? or is it a lover's call to stay at home out of the bright lights?
I love the story .. The harmonies blend nicely together! Nice job!
nice instrumental color in the intro. like the overall vibe. voice is well recorded and performed. thanks, I enjoyed the song.
very nice song, love your vocals, and production
